When France’s Blenheim Gang went to the home of Ecurie Europe in a small rural village, they found a team preparing classic sports cars to very high standards in time for the Le Mans Classic. But after shooting the main feature, they had a peek in the barns surrounding the workshop, and found a further treasure trove of forgotten race cars. In one corner a Porsche 935 soaks in a ray of sunshine…
…while a Lola T280 sits forlornly under a shroud of dust.
Outside, a Peugeot 905 peeks out of the darkness.
And what’s this? Looks suspiciously like the 1992 Le Mans-winning Peugeot 905 of Yannick Dalmas, Derek Warwick and Mark Blundell to us. Can anyone offer us a better barn than this?

Hello guys, thanks for sharing my photos on your website !
I want to add some informations as some people did’nt quite understood what’s happening on theses photos. These cars are not by any way abondoned. As you can see on the Lola, they’ve got 2011 racing numbers, and most of them are regular entrants in major european classic car races.
These two barns are used by Ecurie Europe as reserve parking. These photos were taken the day before the team left to Le Mans Classic, with 20 cars ( packed in 5 semi-trailer trucks !). You can imagine the rush in the workshop, with plenty of adjustments still to do on many cars… I suppose most of the dusty cars portrayed here (there are always a LOT of dust in these old barns) are now back in the workshop…
Lot of people asked me the location on the garage – having probably in mind to go there and visit the place. Well, it’s quite easy to find on internet, but remember this workshop is not a public place neither a museum. You can’t just pop in there to look at the cars. These pictures have been made during a reportage for a french magazine, and people at Ecurie Europe were expecting our visit, and allowed us to take all the photos we wanted.
Best,
Yan
