Bugatti has let the sad news out that the the 300th and final coupe version of the Bugatti Veyron has been sold to a certain “European” Gentleman. So that’s it then? The grim end to the triumphant reign of the Supercar that blew all other Supercars into the weeds?
But… Hold the press! The story of Bugatti’s exceptional sports car is set to continue. The Grand Sport, a supercar with the very highest technical specifications, remains available to you… the automotive connoisseurs. In its closed-top incarnation with a transparent roof it reaches top speeds of 407 km/h; with the roof removed a maximum speed of 360 km/h which as you guessed it…makes the Grand Sport the fastest convertible in the world.
Phew! And relax..
However, while we are it, what are your thoughts on the Veyron? Will it really be looked back at fondly or will it just be seen as a technical tour de force that had no real meaning other than to trickle feed engineering excellence through the VW group?
