The 1960s is indelibly linked with the American Muscle car, famous for the tough bulky body designs, big engines and raised tyres that just screamed ‘muscle’. Among the most prominent examples is the Ford Mustang, and this model in particular proved a great inspiration for the new Victory motorcycle, the 2013 Judge.
The bike has recently arrived in Amman, and was featured at a competition at the Royal Stables of Jordan. It was actually a good choice by promoters Optimal Trading, linking the inspiring Mustang‘s horse logo with the new Mustang inspired motorcycle. Rest assured it caught everyone’s attention.
The first thing to notice is the finish and detailing of the bike. Victory has tuned down the use of chrome on the bike in favour of a new black finish on the exhaust pipes, the frame, rear swing-arm, and cylinder heads. There’s matching touches of classic ‘American Muscle’ style with the five-spoke rims, the shape of the fuel tank, and single rounded headlight. And let’s not forget the chopped rear fender.
The 1731cc engine is a Freedom 106/6 V-Twin that produces 113 lb-ft of torque and features a single-overhead camshaft with four-valves per cylinder, self-adjusting cams, and hydraulic litres for ease of maintenance. The 106 also features electronic fuel injection with a dual, 45mm throttle body for crisp acceleration.
