’63 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray ‘Split Window’
[Not a valid template]The Corvette Sting Ray was designed by Peter Brock, Bill Mitchell and Larry Shinoda, and showcased as a concept in 1957. The production model was later released in 1963. Design inspiration for the model came from the shortfin mako shark, which was mounted in miniature in Bill’s office. Available with a 5.4, 6.5 or 7.0-litre V8 unit, it was produced until 1967 with the now teeny tiny price of $4,257 – unfortunately, there’s no chance of picking one up for that price now.
