Straight after the end of the V8 Supercar race at Winton, The champagne had hardly stopped fizzing when the utes came out and took control of the track.
The best part watching these guys racing is just how hard they push the utes. I was only stood at one spot while the race was on, and pretty much every time they came around at least one of them got it out of shape, or dropped a wheel or 2 on to the dirt.
I was informed at the time that the guys pushing these machines around the track were a certain breed of driver, and from watching I would be inclined to agree. Talented, yes. Fast, yes. Slightly crazy… I think that is more than a little plausable.
