I have been digging through the crankandpiston.com vault this evening and came across this picture of a 2010MY Range Rover Sport S/C being put through its paces in the Dubai desert. Now that the car has been revealed to the public I’m happy to post it up. I have truck loads more so may get the inspiration and do a Land Rover in the desert feature.
In the mean time enjoy this pic as the Electronics engineer testing the DSC (Traction control) comes at me with all 510bhp being let loose…I was up to my knees in sand so getting out of the way would have not been an option!!

Dramatique, though the picture is, I thought that the idea with four-wheel drives was that you tried to keep all four wheels on the deck: that way, it’s a four-wheel drive!
