It seems to have been a long time since I got my hands on the Porsche 912. For a start it has been the better part of four years since I’ve had the pleasure of driving it and then after making the decision to ship the car to the Middle East, she has sat on the McGovern drive way for a further two months not really doing much.
I t wasn’t through a lack of motivation though, as thanks to a a dicky carb, the old girl had no reason to run on any more than half of its four power pots. This however did lead to a lack of motivation!
However good friend and Gulf-Sport man, Gary Francis, kindly offered to collect her and figure out what exactly was going on. Surprisingly and much to our relief the team down at Gulf Sport had her running again in less than an hour… gladly those VW bug skills came to good use.
So as a celebration I headed down there with my trusty Canon and grabbed a couple of pics to mark the occasion.
