In a career spanning nearly 25 years, Allan McNish has done the rounds a few times. Though his Formula One aspirations may have stalled, he has since become a formidable name in endurance racing. Not only is he a three-time American Le Mans Series Champion, but he’s also taken two victories at the Le Mans 24 Hours. Ten years apart. Granted his enormous accident at last year’s event made headlines for another reason.

Then there was his recent victory at the Sebring 12 Hours with Audi Sport too, an event in which he’s failed to make the outright podium only twice in eight appearances. Let’s put it simply: McNish has won over 50% of the American Le Mans Series races he has entered.
