Not too sure who’s idea it was to put ‘beard’ and ‘drift’ into the search engine. And yet…

This is Bil Baldwin, and it may surprise you to learn that he is a flag marshall at the Long Beach Formula Drift events. True, on first appearance he may not fit the traditional motorsport marshall bil. But then, there’s more to the job than blue flags and a day-glow vest.

Nerves of steel for one. A race-spec MG hurtling past – sideways, and just three inches from your knees – at over 100kph is enough to put the wind up anyone. Nobody seems to have told Bil though… >>>
