When our good friends at Japanese Nostalgic Car invited crankandpiston along to the Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS) in California this year, there was no way I was going to miss this opportunity. Held at the Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach, the big boat certainly made for a stunning backdrop, but old Japanese jalopies take precedence over nautical nonsense every time for me. Plus, even a blind man on a galloping horse riding backwards can see that the Queen Mary is more RMS than JDM. Yes, a landlubber I be, and there was way too much old school Japanese cool to waste time pondering over maritime aesthetics. Still, a nice location for a car show all the same.
