What’s the most ambitious Lego car you’ve ever built? Your dad’s Ford Focus? Your mum’s Toyota Land Cruiser? That Ferrari Enzo whose rear wing you just couldn’t get right?

I’m afraid nearly all of our collective efforts have now been put in the shade by the good people at Shell, who commissioned a ten-day build of a full-scale Lego F150 Italia, the single-seater used by Ferrari during the 2011 Formula One season. Given that the Lego design took six months to complete, the detail is extraordinary, right down to the suspension and on-board camera.
