I was sat here at my desk, in my super comfy Ikea chair this morning! When prior to shooting out to see the updates that Jarkko and the guys at AXIS Engineering had done to the C+P Golf, I wondered how this year’s UAE Touring/GT championship might take shape.
For the last couple of years Karim Al-Azhari has been king of the hill in Class 1, however are times a changing? I only say that as next season sees a complete shake up of the rules and regs meaning all sorts of new machinery will be coming along to try and topple him. I hear whispers that the all conquering Porsche 996GT2 has been parked up and a new monster is being wheeled out to take on the challenge.
I suppose time will tell – Not long now!!
