wetheterrors, with nearly ten years of experience shooting on the World Rally Championship stage, has a brand new t-shirt range for the true rally fans.
Though you may not think it, the World Rally Championship losing its promoter in 2012 was actually a blessing in disguise. Not for the series obviously, Rally Monte Carlo got off to a bit of a rocky start when former promoter North One Sport pulled its support at the eleventh hour, ructions of which were still being felt at round two in Sweden. For wetheterrors.com though, it proved a beginning to something bigger.
With nearly ten years of experience shooting on the rally stages, and after years circumnavigating the traditional press release bilge and creating something ‘different’ (remind you of anyone?), the wetheterrors team was keen to share these experiences through another medium. That would be t-shirts, naturally, each of which draws on rallying’s illustrious past as a way of helping promote its future
One of the team’s debut design includes the name of the WRC’s most prominent drivers of the past few years, including nine-time WRC Champion and current FIA GT Series runner Sébastien Loeb, Jari-Matti Latvala, 2003 WRC Champion Petter Solberg, Mikko Hirvonen and Gymkhana specialist Ken Block. The other meanwhile is a tribute to the turbo monsters of the Group B and Super 2000 era from which ‘wetheterrors’ draws it name, and boasts the Ford RS200 across the chest. We’re hoping it won’t be too long before we also see an Audi Quattro, or a Lancia Delta Integrale.
If you’ve got a spare £16 (around $25) and have a hankering for WRC memorabilia – of sorts – these British rally enthusiasts might be a team to consider.
