t-lab presents its Great Bends of the World t-shirt series. Which begs the question, which corner would you want on your chest?
[Not a valid template]With the Nurburgring 24 Hours now behind us, it’s time to start focusing on the next big endurance race: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The big one. The MacDaddy. The crème de la…you get the idea.
To get into the spirit, this latest number from t-lab – based in the UK – might be just up your alley. Inspired as they are by motorsports, motoring in general and popular culture, the designs remain beautifully simple, hence the large 24 and the Tricolour.
This design philosophy is also used in tribute for two automotive legends. t-lab presents the legendary Aston Martin DB5 – including production dates and performance stats – and the Ferrari 312T4, driven to the 1979 F1 World Championship by Jody Scheckter.
The team’s best-known range however is the Great Bends of the World series by the same team. Naturally Eau Rouge and the Karussell – from Spa-Francorchamps and the Nurburgring respectively – make the cut. A corner now synonymous with Jacques Villeneuve flipping a Williams and/or BAR (or nearly stacking a Sauber), and a corner where hooking your inside tyres into the drainage ditch for better grip hardly need much explanation.
And if you’re wondering what got the series rolling, that would be the Curva Parabolica at Monza. Jochen Rindt remains forever linked with the corner following the tragic accident that took his life, while Derek Warwick was lucky to escape unscathed from a massive shunt in the Lotus 102 in 1990. Teammate Martin Donnelly was less fortunate when he crashed the same car at Jerez two races later…
And here’s where you come in. The guys and girls at t-lab are looking for the next corner for their Great Bends of the World series, and we figured where best to ask the question than right here. What famous corner would you like to see on a t-lab t-shirt?
For our money, we’d go for the Senna S in Sao Paolo, Maggotts AND Becketts at Silverstone, or Hell Corner at Bathurst.
Or perhaps you think differently. Let us know in the comments box below.
