A Maiham Media look at the Motegi Championship Cup and points leader, Daisuke Yamawaki.
The Motegi Champions Cup in Japan is a series that places focus on driver’s skill rather than extensive modification and tuning of race cars. Suspension and brake upgrades are acceptable but the engine must remain untouched creating a level playing field where the driver wins or loses on their own ability.
This season has seen Daisuke Yamawaki shine in his Honda Integra DC5 and stretch out a large points lead over his competitors. Yamawaki-san only needs to show up to the final two races to secure outright win but he still wants to pilot that Integra to the podium.
