The Qatar Racing Club is set to stage the 2013 Qatar Mile at the Al Khor Airstrip on 29-30 November.
On 29-30 November the annual Qatar Mile returns to the Al Khor Airstrip, where once again locals and expats alike will be invited to put their muscle-hewn brutes to the test on the 800m stretch of asphalt (yep, take ‘mile’ with a pinch of salt).
Last year Khalid Al Balooshi in his Porsche 911 Al Anabi (a modified GT3) posted a 347.43kph fastest speed, nailing a Lamborghini Gallardo of all things in the process. A high turn out is expected from both the four and two-wheel brigade to see if this target can be toppled.
Those of you familiar with the Qatar Racing Club – with its sphincter testing speed runs and tyre-melting drift events – will probably already know where this preview video is going…
