Yesterday’s news that Google are making a self-driving car didn’t really go down too well here at crankandpiston. Apply all the theoretical logic you want to the argument – regarding safety and removing human error – but the idea of an autonomous car appeals to us about as much as limiting human reproduction to a test tube in a science lab and removing all the fun practice bits between the sheets.
Fortunately, Google’s autonomous car is just one of many new forms of transportation that may shape our future. We also have the drift trike which is infinitely more appealing.
