[Not a valid template]Last week, crankandpiston ventured into the relative unknown when it took on – for the first time – a round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill in the UK. And very happy we were too, given that we managed to speak with none other than former Formula 1 pilot Nelson Piquet Jr.
Far be it for us though to deprive the motorsport fans amongst you some actual coverage of the event, so once you’ve finished lapping up the (detailed) sights from the paddock, the track and through a couple of rogue spare wheels, we thought you might like to check out the grand final. At Lydden Hill, it came down to former World Rally Champion Petter Solberg, two-time Formula Drift champion Tanner Foust, reigning British Touring Car Champion Andrew Jordan, Norway’s Andreas Bakkerud, Belgium’s Robin Larsson, and Finland’s Topi Heikkinen
