Ken Block unveils the modified 1965 Mustang notchback that will star in Gymkhana 7.
[Not a valid template]This is the utterly batshit Hoonicorn_RTR that will star in Ken Block’s latest Gymkhana video.
Making its debut at this year’s SEMA, the Gykhana SEVEN star is a one-off, performance drift car built on the base of an all-wheel drive 1965 Mustang notchback. The build is a collaborative effort between Block himself, Hoonigan Racing and RTR, the automotive tuning brand of fellow Ford/Monster athlete – and Formula Drift star – Vaughn Gittin Jr.
Built across a two-year span at ASD Motorsports in California, North Carolina, the RTR features a 410 cubic inch Roush Yates V8 that produces 845hp and is mated with a one-off Sadev all-wheel drive system. Inspiration for demonic looking monster comes from both the DTM German Touring Car Championship, the World Rally Championship, and even Block’s childhood toy cars.
Teasing as ever, the official launch date for Gymkhana 7 has yet to be announced.
