So the Drive team came to Dubai, in search of fun cars to drive. It’s safe to say they found some.
Big Muscle presenter Mike Musto went out into the dunes with this 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, inspired by the car from the iconic film Bullitt.
Bought in Colorado and shipped back to the UAE, this Mustang began life as a 289, but was rejigged to a 347 with fuel injection and a five-speed transmission. The suspension was tweaked too, adding QA1 shocks, and the steering changed from the standard box to rack-and-pinion to create a car that handles better than standard.
The result? Serious fun in the sun.
