Titled ‘The Growler’, this is a 1990 Porsche 964 that’s been hot-rodded. It features a more modern RS suspension, a massaged engine, and has shed a massive 400lbs.
Owner, photographer and racer, Alexander, describes the car as bridging the gap between old and new: “It’s so light, it has speed and acceleration you find in watercooled cars, but because it is slightly older and has automatic steering taken out of it, it has really good steering feel, which is typically what you find in older cars.
“The Growler is an interesting blend, it’s not too raw, but when you need it to give you the feedback you’d typically get from a raw car, it gives it to you and gives it to you in spades.”
