Remember our post about GT racing and how it was cyclical? It builds up beautifully through privateer teams and wealthy dudes just out there to get their racing fix. Then slowly but surely the manufacturers start to wade into the arena as the commercial benefit starts to show. One by one they bring the wears to the table and offer bigger and better things, until the costs get out of hand and it all falls flat on its face.

GT racing has been like this for years and thankfully we are on the soft side of the upward slope at the moment. GT racing is on a roll and it’s great! Porsche, Ferrari, Audi, Lamborghini, Maserati, Lotus and Mercedes – they are all there and all building stunningly competent machines.

That brings us to the latest player into the ring. The beautiful and surely weapon grade level McLaren MP4-12C. It’s coming and it is surely going to be the pick of the bunch.
