Could this be the look of what’s to come from the Renaultsport versions of the Megane range?
Renault is all set to showcase its all-new Megane model at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, but we’re just wondering whether the change in looks will be reflected in the Renaultsport versions in the near future.
The model features a new distinctive light signature to the front with C-shaped headlamps which surround continues into the bumper. At the rear, the new lighting signature, visible by both day and night, goes right across the car to increase the perceived width of the vehicle.
Proportions have also been revised, with sculpted shoulders and a front face incorporating the brand’s new design identity.
It sits 25mm lower in front with track 47mm wider in front and 39mm wider at the rear compared to the third generation Mégane. Its wheelbase is also 28mm longer and features a shorter overhang.
Chromed elements emphasise the top of the belt line and enhance the grille, the side badges and door handles. The slim creases on the bonnet, combined with the chrome beading and side air scoops, strengthen the character of the front face.
The GT version, with Renaultsport badging, emphasis a sporty personality with redesigned front bumper and a broader air intake and honeycomb grille design, plus two chromed tailpipes and a Formula 1 inspired spoiler to the rear.
The GT also has 18-inch aluminium wheels developed specifically for the model by Renaultsport.
