*NOW UPDATED WITH VIDEO* Peugeot Fractal electric urban coupe concept teased ahead of Frankfurt unveil
[Not a valid template]Peugeot has unveiled the second generation of its i-cockpit design with the ‘Fractal concept, due to be revealed at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
Described as an ‘urban coupe’, the two-door, four seater Fractal is powered by two 168bhp electric motors – one located on each axle – with a combined output of 335bhp. Each are fed from a lithium-ion battery pack, a combination capable – apparently – of a 450km electric range and 0-100kph in 6.8 seconds. Measuring 3.81m long and 1.77m wide, the concept runs atop 19in ‘Tall&Narrow’ wheels, features a removable roof, an weighs just 1000kg.
Inside though is where things start to get a little more interesting, Peugeot explaining that 80 percent of which has been created using 3D-printed components. A small steering wheel with integrated touchpads control most of the infotainment systems, while the centre console features a 7.7in holographic head-up display and 12.3in digital instrument cluster.
