Not only is the Yas Marina circuit fast becoming the place to go and race, it seems as though manufactures are clambering over themselves to host corporate events and even photo shoots within the grounds of the stunning circuit.  One such example is BMW with their latest toy – the i8.  During a recent trip to Abu Dhabi, Teamspeed forum member Captain Stradale and his good friend Hani where lucky enough to catch a glimpse (well clearly more than that) of the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics as it was mid photo shoot.  As the guys at Autoblog.com noticed though is that this version of the car is visually different to the white concept BMW showed the world during motor show season.

Now, could this mean we are seeing a car a step closer to production reality?  It would make little sense to spend the money on shooting something that was just a test buck afterall.   Word on the street is that the car is expected to run a  three banger diesel-hybrid powertrain with over 300hp.  0-100 will be dispatched in a rather wonderful 4.8 seconds and will  about 4.5l/100kms on the combined cycle.
