BMW recently announced details of their all new, slightly mental approach to the M3. In an attempt to lure Porsche GT3 owners out of their cars and take the record set by the previous M3 CSL around the ‘Ring, they have gone all out with a modified engine carrying a capacity of 4.4 litres and an output of some 450 bhp. Match that with some rather aggresive weight loss measures and a couple of other M-Sport tweeks and you have yourself a insane proposition.
