I had been looking forward to seeing the heavy hitting Ford’s and Holden’s out on the track since I last had the pleasure of seeing them in action a couple of years ago in Bahrain.

Now not only did Mr Whincup pull off a brace of wins his team mate and Ozzy legend Craig Lowndes came home second in the second race just 0.9 of second behind.

Not bad for a guy that hadn’t been near a Holden for nearly 10 Years. All in all it was a superb weekend with lots of action, typical Australian tit for tat between the drivers and a great track for these cars to hack around.

I must add though that it wasn’t entirely conducive to super close racing though and the track was a pain in the ass to shoot…No peep holes where you wanted them and it is so vast I felt like I’d walked from Dubai to Yas.
