The two Yas Marina Circuit Top Fuel dragsters, built and managed by Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) and driven by Tommy Johnson, Jr. and Rod Fuller, highlighted the first drag racing event held at Yas, with the event also featuring more than 100 race cars, motorcycles and Pro Mods.

The partnership between DSR and the Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) was only formally announced in January and only actually started 60 days before that. It seems that all aspects of Drag racing happens in fractions of time.

After putting on an incredible show for the packed (shock!!! it seems as though drag racing is where it’s at in this town) Grandstands both “hot-rod” Fuller and Johnson finished the inaugural event at Yas Drag Centre with three wins each.
