It’s been a while since we brought you info on our favourite LMP team…The plan is to change that so to start the ball rolling here are some pics and details from the recent race at Long Beach in sunny Cali.
Drayson Racing drivers Paul Drayson (London/Gloucestershire, UK) and Jonny Cocker (Guisborough, Yorks, UK) again proved the speed of the No. 8 Drayson Racing Lola with Judd Power in the recent American Le Mans Series of Long Beach (CA).
Drayson, starting the 100-minute race, impressed all with a strong start and equally quick, nearly one hour stint racing the car up to fourth overall. Cocker, who finished the race, continued to display the impressive speed of the closed-cockpit coupé holding the fastest race lap for an extended portion of the event. After a bit of a bump with an unsighted GT2 car and a meeting with the barrier the UK-based team took the chequered flag sixth in the Le Mans Prototype (LMP) class and second in the Michelin® Green X® Challenge.
