The Abarth 595 range has expanded once more, this time with a model celebrating its Formula 4 involvement
Just a couple of weeks after the launch of the new 695 Esseesse, Abarth has unveiled another new model called the F595 to mark both the 50th anniversary of the Carlo Abarth-designed Formula Italia racer, and the eighth season of the Formula 4 championship. The model won’t be limited in numbers, and will start from $27,970.
You might be forgiven for thinking there are no direct motorsport ties in the F595, but at the heart of all current Tatuus-built Formula 4 cars is the same 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder as found in the Abarth hatchback. The F595 produces a tad more power than the single-seater it’s also found in, in this occasion rated at 163bhp and 170lb ft of torque, sending it from 0-100kph in 7.3sec and on to a 217kph top speed in five-speed manual guise – the automated manual slows the former by a tenth.

Powertrain specs are identical to the ordinary 595 Turismo, but new to the F595 is the unique ‘Record Monza Sovrapposto’ exhaust system – sporting quad exits as opposed to the two found in a standard Turismo, these are now stacked vertically unlike the 595 Competizone. Integrated valves also allow the driver to alter sound levels depending on the scenario, with the same mode button increasing steering weight and tightening throttle response.
Opt for white, one of three greys or black and you’ll receive a new Rally Blue contrast colour inserts to set it apart from its many many 500-based Abarth siblings, found in this case on the rear view mirror and front and rear bumpers. New 17-inch ‘Formula’ wheels and Koni Frequency Selective Damping rear shock absorbers also come as part of the package, with unique F595 badging making an appearance at the rear.
Inside there’s a leather steering wheel and sports seats just like the standard car, with a fresh infotainment display frame and matte black dashboard new to the model. As standard, buyers receive a 7-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility coming at no extra cost.
The Abarth F595 is available in hatchback or convertible forms with prices starting from $27,970.
