Abarth has teamed up with Swiss watch maker TAG Heuer to present ‘the sportiest and most powerful four-seater in the Abarth range’. The new special edition model, which debuted at the Brussels Motor Show, is based on the 595 Competizione and will be a limited run edition of just 30 vehicles and will feature a boosted version of its 1.4 T-jet engine pushing out 180bhp – thanks to a new turbine and Monza Record performance exhaust – giving the car a 0-100kph time of 6.7 seconds. Oversized Brembo brakes are also thrown in, along with 17in alloy wheels, Sabelt bucket seats in black leather and Alcantara and ‘TAG Hauer’ exterior badging.
But wait, did we mention the watch?
The TAG Heuer Carrera Abarth 595 Competizione exclusive measures 41mm in diameter and has an aluminium tachometer bezel (answers on a postcard…). The new timepiece is customised with the Abarth logo in the counter at 9 o’clock and the famous scorpion engraved on the back. The finishing touch is a perforated leather strap with red stitching.
Prices start from €26,870 (around $29,200), but at least for that you get a free car too…
