Flying cars are the dream of many but Štefan Klein, from Aeromobil, designed one that works.
[Not a valid template]“Mark my word: A combination airplane and motorcar is coming. You may smile, but it will come.” – Henry Ford, 1940
Flying cars are the dream of many folk but, to be perfectly honest, I have always been a member of The Society Who Couldn’t Care Less About Flying Cars which was established a few moments ago when I thought of a name. I just don’t get it.
If you want to fly then you get in an airplane and its all good. If you want to drive then you get in a car. Pairing these very different forms of transport together into one unit makes little sense to me. The result will always be a compromised car or a compromised airplane similar to a washer/dryer that does both things but neither as good as a standalone unit. And has a tendency to break more often.
I am, however, hopeful that this ludicrous technology will take off in a big way. It will free up the roads for us drivers of old-fashioned cars with wheels and not wings. For this reason alone, I am thankful to people like Štefan Klein, Chief Designer and Co-Founder of Aeromobil.
Good work Sir.
