“Hally Auto does fantastic work!,” explains Ali. “And then of course there’s Sakhir here. He’s my best friend, he always supports and helps me, and watches my back. He’s the main supplier for a lot of businesses throughout the region, so to have his support – both as a supplier and a friend – so close to hand makes a big difference.”

A number of Ali’s customers, for example, have been bringing their cars to him for years, gifting a solid client base for Alpha Logic almost from day one.

“At the moment business is really good,” says Sukhir, “but we’ll only really know when June starts to kick in. For now, as you can see, we physically don’t have space for any more cars. So yeah, I’d say things are going pretty well!

Good word of mouth around the area has played a solid role in getting customers in too, but it’s the manner in which work is conducted that Ali and Sukhbir feel is the clincher.  Khalifa, a good friend to both, is a good example. Right now the power of his beloved 2009 model GTR is being upped to that magic 1000hp mark. And as you’ve probably already gathered, pouring the additional stampeding stallion under the bonnet and just pressing the start-button isn’t an option. There’s suspension work, gearbox adjustments, coolant issues and a whole laundry list of elements to tweak, check, and tweak again. And all of which Khalifa is kept up to speed with.

“Nothing’s done blind,” says Sukhir. “Everything is put down with pen and paper, so the customers can see exactly what is going on. Pretty much everything is out in the open, and everything is decided between the guys here and the customer before work actually starts. There has to be a lot of back-and-forth between the customer and the garage.”
