Audi has launched the new A5 and S5 coupe models.
[Not a valid template]Audi has launched the next update to its A5 and S5 coupe models.
The bodywork has been aerodynamically optimised to deliver a drag coefficient of just 0.25, while beneath the skin is an all-new chassis that is said to reduce weight by up to 60kg over its predecessor, while getting an increase in dimensions and longer wheelbase.
A number of engines will be made available to the A5 on launch, but the S5 coupe gets a newly developed 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol unit, boosting the six-cylinder engine to 354bhp (21bhp more than the engine in the previous model), and is capable of 0-100kph in 4.7 seconds.
To the inside is Audi’s virtual cockpit (available as an option), first seen in the introduction of the mk3 TT back in 2014, but unlike the TT, the A5 still has a smaller centre console monitor. Boot space comes in at 465-litres (10-litres more than with the previous model).
