So to surmise.  I’m going to say something I initially didn’t think I would when I first jumped in this car.  I was led to believe it had missed the boat a touch and failed to deliver on it’s RS badge. Yes it’s nothing like as characterful from a road testers perspective as say an M3, but my my does it do what it does in an incredible way.  Fruity, mighty and a bit of a bruiser, but not as deft during a country side hack as some cars – Is that a bad thing though?  It most certainly has a place in the market and I for one would take this car home.
