Audi has announced a new Sport variant of its Quattro, all-wheel-drive, A6 Allroad Avant model.
Engine options include three six-cylinder TDI V6 engine variants; 215bhp, 268bhp and a biTDI 315bhp. The 215bhp and 268bhp engines are mated to a seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission, while the 315bhp and 650Nm output of the BiTDI is fed to the wheels via an eight-speed tiptronic transmission.
The latter ensures brisk performance of only 5.5 seconds to 100kph and a 249kph limited top speed.
Dynamic or comfort mode can be selected using the Audi drive select system, which automatically adjusts the suspension to reduce aerodynamic drag at speeds above 119kph by lowering the body by 15mm. When more ground clearance is required, a lift mode can be engaged at the push of a button, raising ride height by 10mm.
Sport specification adds full LED headlights with high beam assist function, LED turn signals, new 10-spoke design 19-inch alloy wheels with a matt titanium finish, privacy glass and heated and folding mirrors round out the exterior enhancements, while inside the sports seats have been retrimmed in Valcona leather.
The new variant is available to order now.
