crankandpiston.com chooses its favourite images from the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed
[Not a valid template]For the past two years, crankandpiston.com has been privileged to witness the sounds, sights and the plain awesome from the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and 2014 was no different.
Deep dark West Sussex – at the behest of Lord Marsh – once again saw the best and brightest from the supercar and motorsport world take to the fabled hill climb, Nissan GT Academy’s Jann Mardenborough in the process taking a new supercar record up the hill in the GT-R Nismo ‘Time Attack’.
But Nissan’s newboy wasn’t the only stellar machine making an impression. As well as debuts for the brand new Range Rover Sport SVR and McLaren 650S by MSO, the Goodwood crowd was left entranced by Jaguar’s stunning new Project 7. The motorsport crowd wasn’t about to let the supercar world hog all the credit though, appearances from nine-time World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb and king of spin ‘Mad’ Mike Whiddett amongst the biggest crowd pullers at the event.
If you’re intrigued to see highlights from the timed shootouts though…
