Well, we’re lucky enough to have one of these exclusive limited edition books here at the C&P loft. Just 1488 of these books exist, and we have #1099. The book covers a number of areas of culture that BMW has been involved in from contemporary art, music, architecture & design plus the company culture within BMW itself. Naturally, there’s a big section devoted to BMW’s Art Cars including Olafur Eliasson’s innovative 2007 art car based on the H2R concept.

But what really makes this book stand out is the way it moves. And we don’t mean in any artsy fartsy deep and meaningful way, but in that you can actually drive this book around! Embedded into the back cover is the mechanics from a 1:24 scale radio controlled BMW 6-series Coupe.

It’s even rear-wheel drive – just like all true BMWs should be. Naturally, it’s proving to be an absolute hoot in the office – though we might need to get some fresh batteries to make it perform as a BMW should.
