Now on initial inspection this killer shot from James Lipman might not have any connection to the Middle East whatsoever.

However a little bit of local knowledge would lead you to the fact that Caparo brought the T1 out to Dubai about 18 months ago just after it tickled Jason Plato. Now not only did they bring it out to show it off, they shipped it out to the Gulf Sport crew as they had been approached to manage all the hot weather testing prior to production sign off.

So little do people know the Caparo does have a connection to the Middle East and the best bit was Gulf Sport had one tucked in the corner of their workshop for a fair few months whilst the tests where undertaken and the numerous bugs and issues ironed out. I did on more than one occasion find myself squeezing into the cockpit when I showed my mug down there and still remember vividly being taken for a ride in it by Martin Hope.

A truly unforgettable experience!
