Chevrolet set to make four regional debuts at the 2013 Dubai International Motor Show.
[Not a valid template]The brand new Corvette Stingray – the first to bear the ‘Stingray’ name since the third generation Corvette was launched in 1976 – is set to headline Chevrolet’s stand at this year’s Dubai Motor Show, one of four regional debuts for the company.
Powered by a 6.2-litre V8, the new-for-2014 Stingray – which crankandpiston.com put through its paces on its international launch in America – is the most powerful standard model yet. Pumping out 460bhp and 465lb ft of torque, the Corvette will hit 0-100kph in just four seconds.
The 2013 Dubai International Motor Show also marks the regional debut of the 2015MY Tahoe full-size SUV, which Chevrolet unveiled for the first time earlier this year. As well as boasting a new design and updated technology, the Tahoe uses a version of the EcoTec3 5.3-litre V8 in sister company GMC’s new Sierra and the new-for 2015 Yukon, which shares the same platform as the Tahoe and will also make its regional debut in Dubai.
The new Trax, Chevrolet’s entry into the small SUV market, completes the debutant line-up alongside the new Silverado, marketed by General Motors as ‘the strongest, smartest, and most capable Silverado ever’. The previous generation of the Silverado also made its debut at the Dubai Motor Show back in 2011.
