It feels like much longer, but I’ve been running around here there and everywhere for the last month trying to get the 10 ready for the event! We’ve been doing some serious brain surgery, livery design and application, race alignment + setup and even managed a track day. I’ve been on my travels too, for training at the Porsche Sport Driving School in Leipzig and some track time with Andy Priaulx over at the BMW Motorsport/Castrol EDGE event at the Nurburgring.

We had to make a really difficult call a few days back and we’ve, for once, let our head rule our hearts! So the stock pistons and rods are out and are being replaced by something a bit more extreme. We’ve not cut a single corner on the car to date and it was very tempting to just sick with the stock components and run in the event. But deep down we knew that putting the notoriously weak stock rods, that have already put up with 72,000km of the unforgiving UAE roads, into an Extreme Time Attack event was a risk not worth taking.
