After years of smashing himself up in motocross and Freestyle MX events, “Mad” Mike Whiddett switched to drifting in 2006 and moved to the States after success in his native New Zealand and around Asia.

He drives a distinctive Red Bull and Team Need For Speed-sponsored, 666bhp Mazda RX-8 in Formula Drift and also slides an RX-7 around in other events. While he has yet to achieve big success in Formula D, his passion for drifting and his standout choice of rides have won him plenty of fans and he’s a man that likes to put on a show.
