US racer Tommy Milner took a break from his ALMS duties in the States to come and drive for the eventual winners, Team Need For Speed.
German DTM champ Bernd Schneider also made the trip over. Well, if you’re offered a Mercedes SLS AMG to drive, wouldn’t you?
Duel Racing’s Sheikh Salman Khalifa – happy to be racing. Very happy!
Surely one of the coolest looking cars in the field – the Donkervoort D8 GT, all the way from The Netherlands. Quick, light, nimble and absurdly easy on its tyres and fuel load.
Or maybe the SLS AMGs. Decisions, decisions.

Thanks guys – great shots that sum up the atmosphere of the weekend (not sure about Paul trying to snog Richard however…..)!
I was really pleased to still be involved with the sixth running of this event. Two things really stand out for me;
– This year the race really did seem to come of age. It has really taken its place on the world stage and has proved wrong those who doubted it could work nearly seven years ago when two Dutch guys contacted me at the Autodrome with a crazy idea…..
– following on from last year it was so satisfying to see drivers from the UAE national racing scene enjoying participation in the event and doing so well.
Thanks guys – it was a real pleasure for all of us to be part of such a great event!
