And they’re off! Lambos lead the way from BMW, Porsche and Mercedes.
So massive was the field that the leaders had nearly finished their first lap before the backmarkers were past turn one.
There’s some debate in the C&P office as to which car sounded the best. It’s probably a tie between the Mercedes SLS AMGs…
…and the BMW Z4s from Team Need For Speed. We’ll give the Mercs the noise award, as this BMW won the race.
Having said that, the Mosler MT 900 of Gravity Racing International also sounded pretty bad-ass.

Thanks guys – great shots that sum up the atmosphere of the weekend (not sure about Paul trying to snog Richard however…..)!
I was really pleased to still be involved with the sixth running of this event. Two things really stand out for me;
– This year the race really did seem to come of age. It has really taken its place on the world stage and has proved wrong those who doubted it could work nearly seven years ago when two Dutch guys contacted me at the Autodrome with a crazy idea…..
– following on from last year it was so satisfying to see drivers from the UAE national racing scene enjoying participation in the event and doing so well.
Thanks guys – it was a real pleasure for all of us to be part of such a great event!
