The new MINI John Cooper Works Clubman may share the same 2-litre turbocharged six-cylinder as the Hatch, albeit with power now up to 228bhp and torque increased to 258lb ft. Performance figures meanwhile stand at 6.3 seconds from zero to the ton and 238kph at the top end. Six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic is up to you, but power goes through all four wheels either way.
Traditional JCW fare includes a tweaked turbocharger, suspension, brakes, more aggressive bumpers and exclusive 18in wheels. Oh and a $40K price tag.
