‘Think New’. That’s…that’s pretty much all know about the latest design study VW will be unveiling in Paris. Well, that and the fact it ‘signals the Volkswagen brand’s entry into a new era’. So expect it to be electric.
In slightly more helpful murmurings amidst the automotive community – namely Autocar – the new Think New design study is a preview of a new Modular Electrification Kit (MEB)-based model set to make 2019 production. Similar in size to a Golf, ingenious interior packaging means the cabin could be as spacious as a Passat, while the model itself could be capable of 300-500km on a single 15-minute charge. Tantalising reading, given that VW intends aims to be selling 1 million fully electric vehicles by 2025.
