“I think first of all you have massive international exposure. And secondly the hill climb is possibly the one event that the organisers would look at accepting an entry because of the car’s unique nature. Thirdly, it’s a very high downforce car, so I think it would be quite a sight up the hill. If it does well, other people will start inviting us. That’s the theory anyway.”
For now, Leon is just pleased to see a dream realised (he was even good enough to allow crankandpiston some time alone with the car to take these shots). And if the looks don’t knock your respective socks off, chances are the noise will…
“It was an absolutely mind-blowing moment when we first fired her up [Shakes head]. Hitting around 3000 revs was all she could take on the exhausts, which are silenced. So God knows what it’s going to sound like when the silencers come off. It’ll be absolutely astonishing!”
