It’s been a weekend full of motorsport action at the Nurburgring. Alongside following the exploits of the Lotus Sport Middle East boys in a pair of 2-Elevens and keeping an eye on Ollie Hancock as he pilots the Evora GT4 in its inaurgual race we’ve also been watching round 6 of the GT1s.

Though, to be honest, they’ve been quite tricky to avoid. Since we arrived at the track early doors on Friday, the 24-strong grid has been out on track a total of six times with practice, pre qualifying, qualifying, qualifying race, warm up and the final race proper this afternoon.

The No.7 Young Driver Aston Martin has been on form as he won the first qualifying race with the pairing of Thomas Enge and Darren Turner. They then went on to win the championship race this afternoon.

Fingers crossed the GT1 boys will be back at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi later in the year.

Thanks to Eric Fabre for providing us with some extra shots of the riotous drama of the grid of Corvettes, Astons, GT-Rs, Lamborghinis, Maseratis and Ford GT40s. The weather conditions were certainly a challenge for drivers and photographers alike!
