Ford is adding more boost to its Fusion saloon model in a bid to challenge more expensive German alternatives.
[Not a valid template]Ford has announced that it is set to add a new EcoBoost engine choice to its Fusion saloon model, in a bid to challenge German competitors.
The car maker has its eyes not only on owners of V6-equipped Toyota Camrys and Honda Accords, but some other distinguished German models that command a five-figure premium over the 2017 Fusion Sport.
Ford Fusion marketing manager Wade Jackson said: “It’s not just Fusion buyers who want something hotter. Owners of other midsize sedans, along with our own dealers, ask repeatedly. So buyers get a 2.7-litre EcoBoost that makes 325bhp and a more impressive 380lb ft of torque.”
The 2017 Ford Fusion Sport starts from $33,475, including all-wheel drive as standard.
