New Ford Mustang to star in Need for Speed movie
[Not a valid template]Remember Need for Speed? The movie adaptation of the popular video game which, like almost all that have followed beforehand, is likely to be terrible? Well, alongside Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul – already cast in the lead role – Dreamworks has just announced another big name to the cast list, the brand new Ford Mustang. That Hollywood global unveil is starting to make a lot more sense, right?
The new stallion – on its way to Europe too in 2014, just FYI – could be loaded with either Ford’s 304hp 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder (which replaces the outgoing V6) or 420hp 5.0-litre V8 for its silver screen return: we’ll place money on the range topper. Director Scott Waugh also mentions that the ‘Mustang’s world-class power and performance provide is a perfect match for Aaron Paul’s character in Need for Speed’.
We’re guessing that means they’ll be explosions.
